Novell Unveils Educational Programs
Novell announced new product pricing and programs for educational customers, allowing greater accessibility to colleges, universities, and schools. Node-based pricing enables customers to purchase by number of workstations, rather than servers, allowing for increased productivity as well as lowering the cost because of improved campus-wide connectivity.
Novell also announced campus licenses for Novell products in addition to NetWare, including TN 3270 for LAN Workplace, NFS client, and DR DOS. Education Starter Grants, which provide discounts to first-time NetWare and NetWare for Macintosh buyers, are also available.
